Frequently Asked Questions

How do I place an order?

Please call Carl at 519-998-5004 or O’ndray at 519-819-1936 or you can email reuse1800@gmail.com or submit the form on our website and we will be in touch with you. Orders must be paid in full before they are picked up or shipped out.
Is there a minimum purchase quantity?

We have a minimum purchase of 50 square feet for barn board and 500 square feet for flooring. No minimum purchase on furniture and barn beams.
How is the wood priced?

All lumber is either priced by the square foot for 1” thick and under, or by the board foot for over 1” thick. Tables, chairs, and furniture are all priced by the piece.
What is a square foot?

A square foot is 12” x 12”.
What is a board foot?

A board foot is a measure of volume. To calculate board footage use the following formula: Board Footage = (Width in inches x Thickness in inches x Length in feet) / 12.
Do you deliver?

Yes we do. Please note that delivery will be at an additional charge. We can provide a quote to you once we have the delivery address. Please let us know if there are any restrictions in your neighbourhood or road, which will determine the type of truck and trailer we bring.
How do you install barn board panelling?

For easy installation we suggest putting a black backer or black paint on the wall first. It’s recommended to have a mitre saw to cut the ends when installing; use brad nails or staples to fasten wood to the wall.
What percentage of waste should I account for?

You should add a 15-20% waste factor on all wall cladding and flooring to your order. Unique jobs may account for a higher waste factor.
Do you have any finished furniture ready to purchase?

Yes, we try to keep a variety of finished furniture for sale in our showroom.
Should I be concerned about the wood cupping or about bugs?

We do our best to ensure a high quality product by air drying, kiln drying, and storing our lumber. However, as wood is a natural product, there is a very small chance this could be an issue. For our tables we install metal c-channels on the underside to prevent cupping and to provide extra support.
Does your reclaimed flooring come pre-finished?

No, our reclaimed wood flooring does not come pre-finished as it has to be cut, sanded, filled, and stained to the customer's liking. While pre-finished floors are more convenient, the end result of finished on-site flooring is a much higher quality craftsmanship, which is what we strive for. We have flooring installers and finishes we can recommend upon request.
What are your hours of operation?

Our showroom and yard is open to the public Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm by scheduled appointment only.
Do you have discounts for larger orders?

We try to entertain all orders with the best price in mind. On larger orders we issue a wholesale price.
